Marketplace activity: Requests you post, offers you make, messages you send, and reviews you give or receive.
Usage data: Pages visited, features used, and general interaction patterns — used to improve the platform.
2. How we use your information
We use your information to operate the WANT marketplace — matching buyers with sellers, enabling messaging, sending notifications, and processing reviews.
We may send you transactional emails (new offer alerts, account updates, password resets). You can manage notification preferences in your account settings.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your information to serve you third-party advertisements.
3. Information sharing
With other users: Your name and public profile are visible to other users. When you post a request or make an offer, that activity is visible to relevant parties.
With service providers: We use trusted third-party services (hosting, email delivery, image storage) that process data on our behalf under strict confidentiality agreements.
Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
4. Data retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal information within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., dispute resolution).
